Sevenstep is always so pleased to be recognized along with other great providers and leaders within the industry. Awards like HRO Today’s “Baker’s Dozen” and “HR Superstars” lists as well as Talent Board’s “CandE’s” do a great job of bringing success stories in talent outsourcing to the surface for the benefit of all consumers of these services. And this year, we are also being recognized on SIA’s (Staffing Industry Analysts) “Global Power 150 — Women in Staffing” list. What’s really nice is that this isn’t the first time for us to be on the SIA’s Women in Staffing list and I share this honor with our parent company CEO, Beth Gilfeather, who has also received this recognition in the past. We’re of course very proud to be an organization that values and demonstrates diversity in leadership.
More importantly though, I think all of these awards are far less about “who” and much more about the “why.” When I think about the recognitions Sevenstep has received in the past, it always makes me smile because I know firsthand exactly why we received these acknowledgements.
And that why is simple…Our grounding principle is to set ourselves up to win for our clients – every time. It’s very easy and tempting to have other factors dominate company decision making. But, when you place this singular principle first, you realize there is a time and a place to say “no.” Here at Sevenstep, we don’t pitch every deal that comes through the door. We choose our clients with the same level of rigor and discretion that prospects apply to their very own buying process with us. Yes, of course, we’d love more logos. But, we are committed to growing the right way and always looking for true opportunities to win. And for us, this process happens one great client at a time. Great clients are the kind that want to win too and will provide the right partnership and marriage to succeed together along with us. We have so many of these. And it’s this level of satisfaction in serving them that motivates us all every day to do even better.
