Megan Caywood (Chief Platform Officer at Starling Bank) spoke at our Excellence in Leadership (EiL) conference in October 2018 on “The Banking Revolution: Driven by People or Technology”. During her talk, Megan looked at how innovation in technology created a user experience gap between what banks can offer and users expected, that gave the opportunity for Starling Bank to develop. This market gap has led to the fast growth of challenger banks, including Starling Bank (A mobile-only bank), who are changing the pace of a once rigid and inflexible industry through technology-led disruption.
