People Partner

About the Role:
We have partnered with a non-profit organisation looking for a dedicated and experienced People Partner to join their People and Culture team. In this broad generalist role, you will support the strategic and operational HR needs of the organisation, collaborating closely with various teams to enhance organisational capability and implement effective people strategies.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Support: Assist in the creation and implementation of the People Strategy, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, providing trusted HR advice and support.
  • Performance Management: Coach and support managers in managing team performance and addressing complex employee relations issues.
  • Recruitment & Retention: Partner with managers to develop effective recruitment strategies and manage workforce needs.
  • Projects & Policies: Lead HR projects and contribute to the formulation of HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment law and best practices.
  • Employee Engagement: Implement actions from employee surveys and promote a positive workplace culture.

About You:
I am looking for candidates with previous experience in a generalist HR role, and a track record of managing change and improving processes, as well as experience in employee relations case management and project management. Experience in a charitable or not-for-profit organization is a plus.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse client groups effectively.
  • Good knowledge of employment law and the ability to interpret legislation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Approachable, empathetic, and resilient in nature.
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Willing to travel between sites across south-west London and Hampshire/Surrey.
