Payroll Specialist

About the Role
My client, a London-based retail brand, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting the processing of the EMEA payroll on a four weekly pay cycle within the payroll deadlines, and will also have opportunities to get involved in reward and benefits projects.

About You
I am looking for experience payroll specialists with an innovative and autonomous approach, with a minimum of 3 years previous payroll experience. The ideal candidate will have an adaptable approach, as well as excellent manual calculations experience and be skilled on Excel.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • processing new starters, personal information and pay changes, to process the payroll from start to finish within the payroll deadlines
  • ensuring accuracy on input regarding starters, leavers, and payment detail changes
  • partnering with the reward team to process pensions and benefits 
  • assisting the payroll manager with month end processing
  • providing regular and ad hoc reports to all relevant departments and stakeholders
  • reconciliation of reports and data produced and entered for payroll
  • partnering with the EMEA finance team to answer any queries and providing general ledger file for validation
  • HMRC reporting including reconciliation and submission of PAYE to HMRC each month
  • continuous improvement on processes
