Linux OS Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Linux Engineer (Compute) to contribute to the management and optimization of our Linux-based compute infrastructure within a large private cloud environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of our compute resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and optimize Linux-based compute systems in a private cloud infrastructure
- Monitor and enhance system performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply necessary fixes
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to support software deployments and system integrations
- Ensure security and compliance of compute systems through regular updates and audits
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with Linux OS administration and management
- Strong knowledge of compute system performance tuning, scripting, and automation
- Proven ability to manage large-scale Linux compute environments within a cloud infrastructure
- Experience in Linux security and CIS-hardening
- Deep experience in at least one of the following tools: Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Red Hat Satellite Server
- Mastery in Agile methodologies and Scrum practices, with experience in Jira, Confluence, and/or Miro
- Fluent in English, with a minimum proficiency of level C1
Preferred Competencies/Skills:
- Experienced in Bash scripting, Python, or Perl
- Familiar with GitLab (Repo and Pipeline)
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification
