Getting creative with your ideas should give you the opportunity to enhance and add value to projects in your organisation. Having fresh ideas through networking, whether that be externally or internally, will only have positive effects in boosting your inspiration.
However, we all run out of inspiration and new ideas sometimes! So, how do you think innovatively to really bring a project to life?
1. Be curious. Take time to observe your environment, whether that be in work or at home. Draw some of the images you have in mind, be fearless in going further in your creativity, even if you fail. You’ll learn from your mistakes.
2. Explore all aspects of a topic or an issue you are facing or you have faced. Brainstorm your ideas, ask feedback from your colleagues or work together if you develop a team project.
3. Question yourself on how you can improve something. Use ‘if’ questions to broaden the possibilities of outcomes and thus, different ideas. Ask for examples: “what would happen if I change/do this?”
4. Use technology to find suggestions and share your plans, like attending events, webinars and networking sessions.
5. Take time to really pull apart your main idea and pitch it in one minute to know if it is clear enough. Your audience should be able to understand it and appreciate it!
