Future-Ready Leadership: Investing in and Retaining your Gen Z Talent

The multi-generational workforce is bringing ongoing challenges and a period of continuous change. As more of the talent from ‘Gen Z’ (from mid-to-late 1990s to early 2010s) enters the workforce, organisations face a unique challenge and opportunity. How do we bridge the generational gap and build a leadership pipeline that reflects the needs of tomorrow’s business landscape?

We are delighted to bring together some of the brightest People leaders from across industry to explore how companies can effectively invest in, engage, and retain Gen Z leaders, positioning them for long-term success while fostering a more inclusive, innovative workplace.

The session will be hosted by Becky Finnegan (Associate Director at Annapurna), with the conversation being attendee-led. We will likely follow the below agenda points:

  • What can older/younger generations learn from each other? How do we embrace this better?
  • New working patterns – How do they help or hinder the Gen Z talent?
  • Is AI/Data innovation bringing us closer together or driving a bigger wedge?

The conversation will inevitably dive into some of the key attributes that define Gen Z employees, such as their demand for purpose-driven work, technological fluency, and desire for continuous growth.How can be tailor development programs that resonate with this generation? How do we cultivate a culture that balances flexibility with accountability? How should communication and management styles differ across our employee groups?
