Martin Blackburn (UK People Director at KPMG) introduces the first in a 4 part series about Diversity and Inclusion by looking at the influence of D&I in the workplace.
Martin brings to light the 4 areas of focus that KPMG aligns their efforts to, which include but are not limited to:
- Inclusive leadership – Do leaders have D&I at the heart of everything they do?
- Running D&I through all of their people processes
- The importance of the ‘colleague voice’ and internal networks
- Measuring progress through their core diversity areas
Following this, Martin looks at some of his learnings from the implementation of KPMG’s diversity policies and then some of the biggest successes.
Martin uses his expertise to bring to light what the biggest challenge to diversity and inclusion is and why it should sit at the heart of the business and why, as a business leader, you need to be serious about diversity to attract the talent that you need.
