ESI ThoughtLab Report Shares Cyber Security Concerns, Practices and Metrics
Research shows that companies vastly underestimate their exposure to cyber-attacks and overestimate the protection offered by their cyber security system.
On average, companies estimate they have a 45% probability of a moderate or major breach, but the data shows that the real probability is much higher, at 73%. The average cost of cyber attacks per firm was $4.1 million, making this underestimation dangerous and costly.
