Scrum Master

Role Overview:

The Scrum Master will act as a servant leader, ensuring our teams embrace Agile principles and deliver high-value products effectively. You’ll be pivotal in coaching teams, identifying and resolving blockers, and fostering an environment of trust and accountability. Your ability to pick up on team dynamics and guide through influence will be key to success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile Practices: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles.
  • Team Coaching: Provide mentorship to team members on Agile frameworks and help them develop a self-organizing mindset.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address team challenges and roadblocks with a firm yet empathetic approach.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to boost efficiency and team satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product owners, developers, and leadership to ensure alignment on priorities and goals.
  • Pulse on Team Dynamics: Assess team morale, engagement, and potential friction points, addressing them proactively.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (e.g., velocity, burndown) and provide actionable insights to drive performance.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years as a Scrum Master, ideally in start-up or high-growth environments.
  • Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and coaching abilities.
  • Tech Familiarity: Understanding of software development processes and tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar.
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field is a plus but not mandatory.
