Job Title: Payroll Analyst
Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to support a Payroll Manager in ensuring accurate end-to-end payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong payroll background, preferably in a large organisation, and be knowledgeable about UK payroll legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Payroll Processing: Assist the Payroll Manager with accurate payroll execution, ensuring timely payments.
- Year-End Support: Aid in the preparation for tax year-end/start, including P11D and NIC payments, as well as business recharge processes.
- Parental Leave Management: Handle all aspects of parental leave, including correspondence, payment schedules, and coordination of ‘keep in touch’ days.
- Payroll Audits: Conduct monthly payroll audits and balancing to ensure accuracy.
- Redundancy and Overpayment Support: Verify redundancy payments and investigate payroll overpayments as necessary.
- Bank Statement Management: Review daily payroll bank statements and process payroll journals efficiently.
Requirements:
- Experience: Strong payroll background with experience in a large-scale organization.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Dayforce is preferred.
- Legislation Knowledge: Excellent understanding of UK payroll legislation.
- Deadline-Oriented: Proven ability to meet tight deadlines consistently.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with strong analytical and numerical abilities.
- Attention to Detail: Methodical approach with a keen eye for detail while maintaining a fast pace.
