Emilie talks about how we must be thinking about belonging from day 0 during the interview process before we even hire an employee. How we then set up our employees for success during onboarding allows relationships to build and grow.
On the opposite side, Emilie elaborates on some of the factors that may hamper an employee’s feeling like they belong.
Connection with your people manager and expectations not being set can really put belonging on the back foot. We must be obsessed with our employees’ growth and aspirations and the rest will feed in.
