On the 11th September, Dave Clark, Sky TV presenter, will begin one of his biggest challenges: The ‘Coast to Coast Walk’, in order to raise money for Parkinson’s UK. He will start from St. Bees in Cumbria and finish in Robin Hood’s Bay in the North York Moors National Park, covering 200 miles in just 13 days.
More than 6.3 Million people suffer worldwide from Parkinson’s Disease. (Statistic: European Parkinson’s Disease Association). It’s one of the most common neurological conditions and unfortunately, no cure has yet been found. Many young and famous people also suffer from the disease, including Dave himself. Instead of hiding behind the diagnosis, Dave uses his platform to raise awareness of the disease.
The directors and consultants at Annapurna are deeply impressed by Dave’s commitment and donated £1,000 to support him and Parkinson’s UK.
