Our client, a well-establish legal firm in central London, are looking for a highly-competent Learning and Development Manager to establish and lead their Learning function.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate significant operational management experience in an L&D role within the legal services industry. They will have experience in the design and delivery of training initiatives and a strong knowledge of the legal sector, including its L&D challenges. Prior experience of line management and the development of staff is essential and experience of budgeting and forecasting is desirable. The role will require an individual who enjoys autonomy, but will work closely with the Managing Partner, offering fantastic exposure.
The role will involve:
- Oversight of design, deployment and explansion of training and development programmes
- Implementation of appriasal and performance management
- Devising L&D strategy consistent with business objectives
- Effective succession planning
