System Engineer / Senior System Engineer / Lead System Engineer - Berlin

Our client, the fastest-growing, and largest food-delivery company in the world in terms of order-volume, based in Berlin, are looking for System Engineers with an affinity for software development, who want to work towards administrating on one of the most widely-distributed infrastructure network in the world.


* Be a part of a development team of ~10 people, Reporting directly to the CTO
* Support Product and Marketing needs with proper engineering solutions
* Define technological roadmap of assigned product


* Strong system engineering skills with Linux
* The most important experience is within AWS and Puppet or any other relatable automation framework.
* Strong understanding of a software development, release and support cycles with PHP, Symfony 2 experience would be a very good to have
* OOP, design patterns, clean code and testing are strong extras to have
* Good knowledge of the basic tools (git, PHPStorm, MemCache, XDebug) and methodologies in software development (Scrum and KanBan)
* Experience in the area of eCommerce applications, ElasticSearch, scaling high traffic websites, performance optimization, software APIs and web services are a big plus
