Who are we & what do we do?

Annapurna was founded by its three partners, Nigel Fox, James Ballard and Charlie Appleyard who, prior to 2008, occupied positions in the senior management team of the FTSE 250 SThree.  With more than 40 years combined experience between them, you will be dealing with a consultancy with an excellent track record.

We are an innovative and multi-award winning recruitment agency based in London and Munich, operating in the UK, DACH region and nordic countries - in particular Sweden and Denmark.

We are focussed on the HR, IT and Business Transformation sectors. Our consultants are specialists and have an intimate knowledge of their specific business area. This means that you receive a tailored service, completely relevant to your needs.  

We are challenging conventional transactional recruitment practices.  How? We build lasting relationships with expert professionals through the creation and facilitation of world-class thought leadership communities, the HR, IT and Business Transformation Networks. Combined, these networks now have over 20,000 members worldwide. We provide each network with regular networking opportunities that aim to share knowledge and experience. These events are supplemented by three online TV channels and online forums.

The Transformation Networks are just one branch of our unique approach to CSR. We are committed to giving back. Prior to 2014, Annapurna was a member of 1% for the planet. This meant 1% of all its profits went to charitable organisations.  

In 2014, the Annapurna Directors launched Annapurna Giving, a platform designed to give to the charities they felt strong about.  The organisations selected were a combination of environmental and social enterprise charities.

In 2015, we asked you, our clients and candidates who you would like to see us support in 2015 and the response was overwhelming. This left us with 6 charities which we are now working with on a regular basis.

These 6 charities were carried forward into 2016 as we realised the great work the charities were able to do from the donations we were providing. 7 of the Annapurna team ran the London Marathon in April 2016 for the charities: Havens Hospice, Amnesty International & Rainbow Children's Charity. Combined, donations raised reached over £21,000 which has enabled these charities to continue doing the great work that they undertake on a day-to-day basis.

This innovative and sustainable approach to recruitment allows us to build deep continuous relationships with the talent communities that we deliver to and serve.
